DAY ONE: As we look forward to celebrating the resurrection of our LORD JESUS, we meditate on this attribute: HE IS the DIVINE SOURCE of GRACE and PEACE.

Scriptural Foundation: In the book of Revelation, chapter 1, verses 4 and 5, John continues the introduction of his letter to the seven churches by declaring, “GRACE to you, and PEACE from HIM WHO IS, and WHO WAS, and WHO IS TO COME, and from the seven Spirits Who are before HIS Throne, and from JESUS CHRIST, the FAITHFUL WITNESS, the FIRSTBORN from the dead, and the RULER over the kings of the earth. TO HIM WHO loved us and washed us from our sins in HIS OWN BLOOD…”

As we meditate on this scripture today, here are some questions to consider: 1. In these verses, what did JESUS do to make GRACE and PEACE available to us? 2. How do these passages in John 1:16-17 and Romans 5:1-2 CONFIRM that the LORD JESUS is the DIVINE SOURCE of GRACE and PEACE? 3. In what way(s) does having this revelation of the LORD JESUS help us in our walk with the FATHER today?

Prayer: FATHER, thank YOU for the GIFT of our LORD JESUS, Who came to earth and took our form. HE lived and died to bring us the GRACE that would save us, and the PEACE that brings us back into relationship with YOU. We give YOU GLORY as we celebrate JESUS, our RISEN KING! Let this revelation of HIM cause us to go through this day knowing that we lack NOTHING, because HE has made all spiritual blessings available through that GRACE and PEACE. In JESUS’ Mighty Name we pray, Amen.
